What is it like to be a FedEx reserve FO based in Subic Bay ?
Living Quarters, workout faculties, golf, trips, time spent on call,
and the opportunity to fly back to the USA on days off ?
Thank you for any insight.

I have a friend that flys out of there for fedex. He lives in CA, gone a month home a month. He has a house (i think) out there. Rains alots. He likes it alot. I will talk to him and ask him a few more things for you.

WITHOUT QUESTION........................................THERE'S GOT TO BE PLENTY OF

L.B.F.M Action going on over there........................That's a little old military acronym for those of us who were fortunate enough to serve in the P.I. at one time or another.................. Or were lucky enough to hear about that good ol' banana show that took place many moons ago!!!

Hey Hugh Jorgan, what's LBFM stand for?

Hugh?

I am not ex mil, but I am going to guess Little Brown F$cking Machine??

I wonder if all the clubs are still there? CalJam- just across shart river! How about Mr.T's? Yes those were some times for sure.

No more Caljam, no more T's. No more any of the bars you once knew of in Olongapo. You could lose a couple of digits on one hand and still have enough to count the ones left in the Barrio Barretto. Same goes for Subic City. It's a different place. Now, Angeles City is a different story. Still a lively place there, sailor, just bring a handful of Piso's!
I did find it disconcerting that there are no more 2-Piso notes. Those things were really handy for wiping one's bung in a pinch.
As a great soldier once said......
I SHALL RETURN!

I haven't really heard many complaints from my buddies out of SFS. Take a look at their bidpack. Aside from dealing with some pretty knarly typhoons during the summer and early fall I think they have the best flying in the system ( many single leg duty days and 5 days layovers in Shanghai).

Guys commute from all over the place and as far as the east coast.

If you have a family, you're gonna have to do some serious sweet talking to have your wife and kids live in a third world country that doesn't have a Target. If you are single, I say go for it, you'll have the time of your life. Either way, your first 80K will be tax free and San Miguel can be had for 75 cents so that should ease the lifestyle change a little bit.

I have a friend over there and he likes it. His three years are almost up and I think he and the family are going to stay a little longer. His wife actually gave birth to their second child in Manilla.

Trips are good, all international override, legs aren't too long and there are some tax advantages. Again, must have a supportive wife but if you are single..:-))) don't forget your booties and raincoat:) Great place to see the world.

I want to have a couple of illegitimate bastards in Manila.

YOU WEST PAC’EN LUCKY SOB'S!

If you've ever picked up an LBFM in Norfolk (or any other NEX), you might just have one anyway!

Does a BX in Columbus, Mississippi count?

LBFM's, not whores, just professional girlfriends... and there are plenty of them in Pubic Bay
