The company is trying to pull a fast one on us. . . those rates are in Pesos. . .

Not bad, but UPS union openers were much higher, I heard $265 an hour for a senior captain.

You guys might want to let them settle thier contract first!

Well, UPS isn't on the brink of bankruptcy. They can afford higher pay rates. . .

It's amazing what you can earn when your not competing against RJ's..Good luck.

That's true. . . until JetBlue gets into the Express Cargo business. . .

Subtract about $10/hour for the new health care premiums they want....

On another note - there's some activity finally on the ALPA board. I think we should all go over there and visit.....

And we can start by posting the names off the guys picking up those darn disputed pairings. Why? Why? Oh the humanity

Some guys could use a little peer pressure to remind themselves how damaging they are to the cause.

Aren't those rates lower than the current Airborne Express rates?

Yes, but...

Payrates are only one of MANY factors when computing TOTAL compensation (ie. payrates, A fund, B fund, 401k, health care, min guarantee, etc).

And on a side note, payrates are about #5 on our list of priorities. We have identified more important sections of our contract to improve on such as Scope, Work Rules, Retirement and Health Care.

Payrates do not mean much when your quality of life is crap, just my .02

True, but how crappy can your quality of life be when you are flying around asia regularly poking LBFMs like the one in your avatar?;)
