Hey boys! Welcome to the patch and good luck in training.

What is the drop on airplanes and bases?

Inquiring minds want to know...

Wild:
Started yesterday. 17 total: 16 MD/ANC, 1 Bus/Subic. 12 AF, 3 USN, 2 USMC. Around 14 have prior 121 experience. About 5 heavy guys, 1 bomber, rest fighters.
14 727 SOs started today.
Life is good.

Started Today...
14 Total.
6 Civilians (Commuters, Other Cargo, Instructor)
8 Military (Air Force, Navy, Marine, & Army)
All of us are Engineers.
All seem to be First in, First out.

Next classes are 8/28 and 9/11. They are staffing those now. No more MD-11 openings. All 727 bound from here. Both of those should have some FO slots in them, then classes around every 2 weeks after that with some having FO slots and some being only SO classes. I think it was something like 50 per month (25 each class) or something close until November-January (peak) then only 1 class a month. After that, 50 per month again.

Nothing too new in the rumor mill. They all say expect a contract soon. All the big shots are in DC now for 'crunch time.' New gen. narrow bodies are expected soon. Narrow body European domicile wanted soon. 727's are not going anywhere until they die or are forced to stop flying them. (They are paid off and have the highest realibility of the fleet.)

Good luck! Start drying off; they are back on track now!

Purple Nugget,

Thanks for all the info!

Those of us still swimming really appreciate it.

Gotta run, they are starting up another game of Marco Polo. ..... "Polo"

Best news I've heard all week!!! I guess I'll know when the replacement is here when I get my notification that the last Boeing is parked and I have to attend another FO school.

With a little luck they'll be around until I retire.
