i don't think anyone knows...depends on the bid...if all the seats in anchorage get filled u can probably expect to sit sideways...that's all i know..gotta run... the tornado sirens are going off...seeya!!!!!!!

I am just wondering when and where I might start. I would take MEM 727 FE over ANC MD-11 FO if given the choice for the commute. I know I may not be given a choice. I am just glad to be in the pool! I am looking forward to training!

THE BID WILL GO JUNIOR ... REALLY JUNIOR. THE TIMING IS BAD FOR ALL OF THOSE SENIOR DC-10 AND BOEING CAPTAINS AND SENIOR MD-11 FOs TO MOVE OVER. THEY WILL ALL LOSE THEIR SUMMERTIME VACATION BIDS. MOST OF THOSE SENIOR GUYS AND GALS DON'T WANT TO GIVE UP THE SUMMER VACATION TIME FOR TRAINING.

FWIW for all on property less than a year and to all the poolies...the pratice bid means jack didley and isn't even worth the paper you wipe your arse with. The final bid NEVER, and I mean never, comes close to what the practice bid forecasts.

Believe it or not, for the junior folks, you will actually do much better than you expect. Historically people change their standing bid right after the pratice bid and stay in thier seat.

Example, 3 years ago (as a SO) the practice bid came out and I missed 72 FO by ONE person...I was pissed that I might have to sit sideways another bid...BUT when the final bid came out I got the -11 in LAX with people behind me...I was pleasantly surprised to say the least.
