I'm looking for any info in the 2 day process. I know about "Emerald Coast" and plan to call. What sim are they using these days and where is the best prep for that? Thanks in advance!

Metro

The sim is the Piper Cub on floats. It is a week of 8 hour days including band camp.

Now really, run a little search. There is ton of info on this site.

Albie will answer all your questions. Just call him.

Goose, they went with the Husky v. the Cub. The band camp is still solid information though.

thanks for the update

I had a bit of trouble during the inverted flight hour on sim 7. Other than that, I didn't think it was too bad.

;)

I thought FDX only interviewed military pilots....

I also highly recommend Albie and his crew. Good luck A-Team!

Metro,

When did you do your meet and greet? When did they call and what dates did they offer? Do you have any CRJ PIC time???

Thanks alot and good luck!!!

Turn'n Purple

Any FedEx insiders know when the interview selection board will be held this month (Jan)? I did my "meet and greet" in June and I'm holding my breath until the call comes in. Don't... know... how much longer... I can...last.

Thanks,
BH

I heard new meet and greets are to begin in early Feb.

For those that already had their meet and greet, the Air Guard gouge train said a pilot review board to choose the next group or two if folks to be interviewed will be this or next week.

Did a meet and greet 30 Nov at LAX...Got called today to for an interview in MEM! She indicated they were scheduling ~100 interviews

Time to get everything in one sock

Meet and Greets going again?

Flapjack - where did you do the meet and greet? Do you know of any others who've had one recently? Did anyone else know that the window had re-opened?

you jest

Fed Ex will interview anyone who sends them a resume via UPS.

When I was on active duty and before FedEx went to an online app, there were a bunch of pilots in the pilot office talking about the airlines. One of the guys mentioned he had just sent FedEx the app package. Another one of our guys jokingly said; "I hope you didn't send it UPS". The guy who applied suddenly got a beat red face. He said; "I can't believe I did that - I have always used UPS and didn't even think about it".

We all got a huge laugh over it. Needless to say, he was not hired by FedEx. He did get on with Northwest, but ended up furloughed.

Did my meet and greet in early Sept. Got a call yesterday from KD. Yes, on a Saturday. She listed several dates in Feb when they were interviewing, so it sounds like the rumor is at least somewhat correct.

BamaBoy,

Did the meetgreet in MEM, don't know of anyone else doing one, but I just wanted to get it out there that you may be able to schedule one now...
