FedEx interview - A300 or DC10 sim?

Heard they switched to DC-10 sim recently? any recent interviewees know for sure?

FedEx has used the DC-10 exclusively since they began interviewing again in 2004.

If you need a sim prep, there are several places that offer them. You can go to EmeraldCoastInterviewConsulting.com if you want a Memphis based Sim.

I recently got a friend of mine an interview. He's scheduled for Nov so I'm trying to help him get squared away on some sim practice.

I haven't kept in the sim check loop as of late so I was surprised to see you say the DC-10 is what they are using.

Where are some locations he can get some DC-10 sim time?

Any help would be appreciated.

They are using the DC-10 still. There is a DC-10 sim availbable in Memphis at PanAm International Flight Academy for $400 per hour.

The DC-10 wasent all that hard to fly. I did my prep in a 727. Its basic pitch power flying. I went thru it 2 months ago. If he has any questions PM me.

A buddy of mine just went through the interview process and they told him that they will be going back to the A310 in a few months.

One of my friends did his interview sim in the Airbus back in June, so I wouldn't say that they have completely given up on the Airbus. The past two guys I know did, however, get their ride in the DC-10. They will use which ever sim is available, the 72, the -10 or the bus, so you need to be prepared for the possibility of any one of those 3. From what I've heard, the Bus and the -10 sims fly fairly similar to each other, no personal experience myself.

One shameless plug for the Emerald Coast deal, my friend that interviewed last week used the DC-10 prep through them the night before his sim and he found it most beneficial. Can't say that he couldn't have done it without it, but he was really glad he did the prep. Something to seriously consider.
