Does anyone know if FedEx has any plans to open a MIA base to compete with the lucrative UPS routes going south?

Does FedEx have a large presence in FLL and MIA?

Thanks for the info.

FedEx just opened a big sorting facility in MIA last year.

I do not know if they have any pilots based there yet. I think UPS has about 250 based in MIA, so FedEx may have a small base there some day.

I have no idea how many flights FedEx or UPS has in MIA.

Any good info on MIA from the Brown or Purple folks?

no pilots

MIA is not a pilot base. MEM, LAX, ANC and Subic are our bases. We do have quite a few sort facilities that are not pilot bases (EWR, AFW, IND, MIA, and soon GSO to name a few).

Lakeviewa, didn't you just start class at UPS yesterday?

RB

He's in class (and rubbing it in), a couple of us back at the crash pad are dreaming of Purple. I guess we should get off our @$% and stop sharing a screen name.
