I ran into Kim in the AOC (Air Operations Center) a couple minutes ago and inquired about hiring. Here is what she said:

June classes: Looks like 2 classes of 16, but she is waiting on official word.

Future hiring: Next fiscal year (starting June 1) we will hire about 160 or so - looking at 16 per month running continuously and future hiring analyzed monthly.

That is hot off the press from the ever-so-sweet Ms. Kim.

2nd The Goose's info

I have heard the FY2005 hiring numbers were recently agreed upon, and I heard the number 130. There are 2 S/O training classes listed for June 23rd and June 30th on the training bulletin board, but no numbers posted for them. And as I stated earlier, one of my instructors showed me an email asking for instructors for those dates.:)

FDX updates

Thanks folks for the updates. They are very much appreciated!

I would anticipate calls going out next week to fill the first class...right?! That would give about three weeks notice for those involved.

I will be checking everyday to see if and when calls start going out. Getting ready to dry off!

Those will be the first day of class or your first required day in Memphis. You will probably receive shorter than normal notice since it is the fiscal switch over.
