Just found this on JustPlanes.com

FedEx has purchased 10 aircraft from various leasing companies including Airbus, GATX and GECAS. These aircraft are:

3 MD11s previously operated from Varig
1 A310-300 previously operated by Regionair
4 A310-300s previously operated by Khalifa
2 A310-300s previously operated by Aeroflot
1 A310-300 previously operated by Transaero

Keep them Newhires coming!

If you use a FedEx computer you can access "Air Fleet Conversions" home page on www.aod.fedex.com. If it does not work from pilot.fedex.com try from www.fedex.com .You can do a intranet search to find it. According to the last list I looked at dated 10/22/04 there are 16 MD11s coming, although I've heard 18. There are 8 DL, 3 Varig, 1 CAL, 1 SR, 2 LTU, and another one from an unknown source. There are also 6 MD10s scheduled to be delivered before March 30 next year, plus another 6 MD10s before the end of next year. The WSJ today reports today that FedEx will start MEM-CGN service 5 days a week. There are also quite a few A300/310s scheduled for delivery. Not of any interest to me so I've never counted the actual numbers
