Funny you should say gold plate. I have a Stanford grad standing here whose "paper" degree is worth thousands of times more than what'd be worth if printed on a gold plate. Same is true if your degree is from Southcentral Louisianna Tech State and you landed a job at FedEx. Then your "paper" degree would also be worth many times what'd be worth if it were printed on a gold plate!

See, the sad thing about a guy like you is in 50 years you're gonna start doing some thinking on your own, and you're gonna come up with the fact that there are 2 certainties in life. One, don't do that. And Two you dropped 150 grand on a fucking education you could have got for a dollar fifty in late charges at the public library.

Can't spell, can't capitalize, can't quote a common phrase correctly, can't properly structure a sentence. Where did you go to school? I just want to make sure my children don't go there. Maybe you are the reason Fedex requires a 4-year degree.

Maybe if you'd gotten your degree you would cease to be so bitter and you would have been able to come up with an original thought on your own, instead of quoting movies like "Goodwill Hunting".........

Oh, I dunno about that. I got one of those expensive up-east degrees and I can't properly do all those English comp things that bother you so much. BTW, are those young looking boys and girls who win spelling bees actually midgets with Stanford degrees?

I like that some are requiring degrees. When things go bad at an airline, it's nice to have a crewforce with skills to get another job. These are the folks that take voluntary furloughs, LOAs etc and gives more flexibility to the crew force. Many take jobs for defense contractors or other fields loosly associated with aviation. It's nice to have a backup plan in this industry.

If all you've got are stick and rudder skills, then there aren't many options when the pay gets cut to the bone and they want you to work twenty days a month or so.

Then it would be a shame if she misapplied her intelligence, chose (because it is a choice) not to get her degree, and ended up a smart person working for a regional, whining why she's being persecuted for not getting a "piece of paper".

Maybe I shouldn't post replies at 3:00 am during the hub turns. Diesels inability to use spell check doesn't bother me. I just find it ironic that someone makes four posts in a row about the "unjust" FedEx college policy, and all are replete with errors. I'm not being so bold as to suggest he pick up a dictionary, but how lazy do you have to be not to use the computers spell check function. I can hear my 12-year old niece already, "Uncle, nobody cares about that kind of stuff". That attitude is exactly why the U.S. is on the decline.

i do like Diesels nu Avatar thow. Howz dat.
 
Pilotyip is taking a break from the college degree banter for a while. I gave it up until after Easter. However, feel free to post any my previous posts, I would consider it an honor. Besides, I would say the same thing as my previous posts.

By the way ERAU/ U of Maine is not known for it's english classes.

well the god damn noise is driving me nuts.

They keep refreshing the adds which makes my page reload and reload.
