Looking for recommendations on FE Written study material. I know AIR Inc sells a written prep book. They also have FE prepware. Any opinions on which is better? What about other sources?
Is the All ATP prep and exam worth it?

All-ATP's one day prep and test worked well for me. They do a good job of teaching/pointing out what you need to concentrate on. I highly recommend it. It's a very long day but worth it in my opinion.

If you're just taking the FE written, I highly recommend looking at www.sheppardair.com. They'll sell you an FE prep program for something like 40 bucks, and it's all you need. Study it for two days and go take the test. Because of other committments, I had a very limited amount of time to study -- I estimate that I put 3 hours of study in using this program and I got a 95 on the test. The cost of the software and the testing fee at whatever CATS location you go to will run you about half of what all ATPs charges you.

I think they do ATP prep and checkrides as well, but I'm not sure about that. It's run by a couple of T-37 IPs at (surprise) Sheppard AFB, TX.

Ditto on the Sheppardair.com. They will even extend it past the original time your username and password expire if you don't have time in that period so you can fiinish studying.

I just used the ASA Prepware for the FE Written. I paid $60 for it at Sporty's, which was a little cheaper than Gleim's version. It installed easily on my computer, and worked out great for me. I got a 98% without too much effort. I'll probably be putting it up on eBay in the near future, if you're interested.
