Teamwork

I always enjoy those things that GOC puts out. If you haven't seen it yet, get a look at the "ant farm" vid.

We couldn't do what we do, in the volume we do without experts in GOC. They do a great job and even though sometimes it's fun to malign them in jest, they generally are Sierra Hotel.

Anyway, I loved this Video and I am sure the NMB would like it too!

I had to grin at the choice of theme song. "We're livin on the edge!"

What's this "we" paleface??!!

Sometimes I think though that they forget that those little ants they advise and control release times for, are each independently operated by professional people exercising their best judgement whose vantage point is vastly different from the ones attempting to "position chess pieces".

While they (in GOC) might be livin on the edge (of their seat)....the pilots were the ones skillfully flying on the edge, and were getting bumped, rattled, rolled, doing something that even God was attempting to dissuade them from doing....and finding a way to do it!

Reminds me of those movies about NASA, where after the astronauts managed to solve a problem with the help of mission control and recover safely, it is the guys sitting at the desk that jump up and slap each other on the back with congratulations for each other. Really, I am sure that they are not nearly as glad as the guy strapped to the Roman Candle.

But......to be honest, you gotta sound cool on the radio...and besides, I really don't want to fly with a guy who whoops and hollers on the way to the crew bus, slapping me on the back saying "YeAHHHHH....WE MADE IT!"

The closest thing to that I've ever heard was after landing in Memphis when Katrina was blowing thru and the crew agreed, "we don't want to do that again". We were never unsafe....but it wasn't fun....especially for the money.

:cool:Can't get the link to work for me? I would really like to see it, any other idea's?

I'll upload it tonight when i'm off of dialup. Pretty good link. Except for the poor bastard at the end who had to divert.
