If you are losing money going to work then there is a budget problem. It's only one year so get by somehow for a year then commute on the second year. Yo dipsh1t! Newbee FO's often get stuck in FAT. Most domiciles have 35-40 buck a night hotels with the crew rate. If they're trying to get another base it doesn't make too much sense to move to FAT for however long it takes them to get a transfer.

Don't look for any sympathy if your domicile gets closed a$$hole. You work for a contract flying outfit. Domiciles close or get downsized.
