Thanks for the responses. We aren't looking for a school, we have that covered. I was looking more for order of training to minimize calendar time and maximize multi. Whatever combinations you have seen or heard about that would make him more competetive. Thanks again.

private pilot, multi add-on, then instrument, then commercial single, then commercial multi. Then you should do the CFI, CFII, MEI.

The actual flying is very doable, it should take you about 2 months from instrument training to commercial rating if you fly every day. The problem that you will have is scheduling the examiners and the CFI portion. Examiners may not be available when you want them unless you shedule them in advance eventhough you migh not be ready. If you cancel or delay, that equals a future faild checkride though so be care full with that.

CFI takes time if you want to do it right. Good luck. I'd just go with ATP, they specilaise in what your friend wants to do.

$160,000 will get you through Oxford...granted, it's a JAA license, but the people that I was teaching to land just a few months ago are just finishing IOE on B757s.

Yes, it hurts.

Do you really want to be a good pilot or a pilot with certificates.. ATP Inc won't let you rent the airplanes. Sheble's had so many violations that they had to move from one FSDO juristriction to another one.. Find your local good school and stick with it..

They did'nt switch because of violations!

What's the story on Americans at this school? Employment thereafter for Americans?
