When is the 2003 edition due out?

I am getting excited because I will have to re-tab my FAR/AIM again (J/K)

:D

Here's another question:

If I wanted to find out what changes would be made to the FAR/AIM, would I find those mentioned in the Notices of Proposed Rulemaking? The FAA website?

I believe that all the changes for the f.a.r..s/ aim are twice a year. I think they are generally in Jan or Feb and again in July/ Aug. If this is correct they should have all info compiled and would expext to see it out shortly. I believe no later than November?

Your commercially available FAR/AIM will have some currency lag in them due to publication schedules. I.e. ASA FAR/AIM has a note on first page "contains current regs. as of 9/19 ...." "AIM current through 8/10 ....." Your 2003 copy will probably miss out on the new Part 91 K coming out in Nov. You can always find the latest from the FAA web site or http://www.access.gpo.gov/nara/cfr/index.html. The Jeppesen subscription will also keep you more up to date. Things change often and fast these days.

Thanks

Thank You for the response.

I have always used ASA's FAR/AIM.
Most of the people at the FBO where I work use ASA's also.

Out of curiosity, what FAR/AIM publication do people recommend/use on the boards here?

That worked well........into the favorites list!

Oh, almost forgot. I have a Jepp subscription, and I get the regs updated regularly from them.

You must either A) Pull your hair out every time you get an updated FAR/AIM if you highlight/tab them or B) not bother tabbing/highlighting the FAR/AIMS.

Those are the fun day's of the year. Find what is highlighted in the OLD FAR/AIM, and highlight/tab it in the NEW FAR/AIM
