Wonder if it's just a scam to fleece gullible investors.

For those that don't know already, yes it is a scam. The guy is looking for investors to fleece. He promises a pie in the sky 747 dream job to poor struggling instructors/low timers/furloughees/etc...

Somewhere in the deal you have to write a check for training that never occurs. The dirtbag has been doing it for years.

Didn't America West try the 747's to HNL thing? Jet A was much cheaper back then.

Yes, but when they tried it they were using 4 of the oldest 747-100's on the planet. Every time they took off, they usually did a 180 and had to come back for MX. Good decision, wrong age of airplane. Now if they would have used something like a 74-3 or 400 series, probably would have had a better chance. Poor Conway.;)

Quite a few ex-Pan Am pilots paid for a job with the original Family Airlines. Back then $50K would buy a captains job, $30K for an F/O's job and so on.

I "interviewed" with this guy, but told him I refused to pay a dime for a job. He said that was not a problem as only the first 100 pilots would have to pay. After that the jobs would be "free".

The guy behind all that is a former perfume salesman.
He spent a few years in jail for fraud.

Stay far away from Family Airlines.

It should be called "Family Guy Airlines."

Peter and Quagmire up front with Lois in the back serving drinks. Brian would work the panel and Meg (fittingly) could sling the baggage into the hold.

With Lois all alone in the back I think Quagmire would be taking frequent bathroom breaks... Giggity Giggity Giggity!

God, where do I start? This looks like a train wreck in so many ways, not the least of which is they appear to have Dr. Phil for their CEO.

From his website:
"I have what most would consider a “checkered past” and have paid the price several times over. I am a convicted white-collar offender (ex-felon) who spent fifteen months of a twenty-one month sentence at the minimum security Nellis Federal Prison Camp in North Las Vegas for security and tax violations that occurred in 1992."

What's an "ex-felon"? And can you even be a CEO as a convicted felon? Not that many current CEOs shouldn't be indicted.... ;)
