Looks great...! Uhhh only thing I see wrong is the pic is of a -200....

FLAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if that airplane is one that has been parked in the desert somewhere? Maybe they paid to have someone paint it in their colors until they take delivery of their actual aircraft? (reaching here)

There is no phone listing for a Family Airlines in LAS. I wonder about any business that does not list a contact number...

"A sure success..." HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!

Another LCC , but this is pushing it! oh boy :>(

They have a Yahoo address for the business????? How cheesy is this, I guess they are saving on overhead already......These are old pictures as well, I would doubt if they really have an office on Russell Rd in Vegas, if so, it's probably shared space with a hover dam tour outlet on the sidewalk......

Sorry, normally I'm more positive than this, maybe I need some more Java...

Maybe it's a typo, maybe they meant hiring 400 747 crews?

200 vs 400

I e-mail Family Airlines and asked,

"Your web page mentions that you are going to start operations with the 747-400, BUT all the pictures are of -200s"

The response I got was that those were old pictures from Family Airlines.

This leads me to believe that they tried this sometime in the past with -200s.

The pictures on the website look fake! I think somebody doctored them up I really doubt they have any airplanes. They have been on Climbto350 for months looking for everyone from Pilots to Baggage handlers.

I lived in Las Vegas when the First Family airlines was starting up in the early 90's.
I knew some of the pilots that were there-and in the end the CEO went to jail for embezzling money as he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars. The pilots that were being hired were required to invest a minimum of $80,000 dollars. I knew allot of ex Pan Am Guys that lost their retirements and life savings to this crook.

I hope its not the same people. The picture has the same paint scheme as they had back then.

Actually, if memory serves, that's actually a late model -100. Seems like they been trying to start up since the mid-90s.

Just to add to the previous post, according to airliners.net, it is indeed a -100 (N93117, c/n 20322, ex-TWA)

About 11 years ago there was a Family Airlines 747 parked up in SBA. Rumor was that Lorenzo had something to do with the operation.
I remember this being the case too, back in the early 90's.

Lorenzo had nothing to do with the operation.
It was a bunch of ex Pan Guys-some Eastern and TWA.
Also an ex VP from TWA (Lance Carter) came over.
All smoke and mirrors-they did get an airplane and paint it-but in the end it turned out that the main purpose of the CEO was to steal money from the company and pilots that had invested it.

The CEO should have been lynched-instead he went to jail-I hope he had a cell mate named Bubba that weighed 300+

I think the guy listed as the CEO(Barry?)is the same guy-so beware.

I see they're now advertising for a CEO on climbto350.com !! Can that be a good sign ?
