A military aircraft went off the runway at EAA’s AirVenture Thursday morning, but there were no immediate reports of major damage or injuries. Two F16s were doing flyovers just after 11 a.m. According to a witness at the scene, one of the planes was on the runway when the second came in quickly from behind and swerved to avoid a collisiion, partially tipping the plane at the end of the north-south runway near the Warbird area.
EAA reports the pilot walked away from the scene, but was taken by ambulance for medical observation.
One of the plane's markings indicates it is from the Alabama Air National guard
