There is wireless in some rooms but not all, so ask when you check in. Also put your name on the list for a refrigirator. There is a microwave on the 3rd floor. Breakfast is free and they give you 10% discounts for lunch and dinner.
You'll get the first few weekends off until the sim, which run almost 24/7. Most went home for the first weekend, which is between indoc and systems. For the second weekend, most stayed. That's when things get really ramped up with systems and FTDs. The weekends after that are your call. In training, they'll fly you positive space so it takes away a lot of the stress of getting to and from IAH.
You'll need at least two 2" binders. That'll hold all your approach plates. The charts come in plastic holders they give you. Down the road I may put them in a binder. If you have or can afford Jeppesen, great. Otherwise, go to OfficeMax or Stapples and get you a couple of the small 3-ring binders for cheap. You can also look on Ebay. I bought a used Jeppesen Duraflo 2" for $9.99 plus shipping (I already had a 2"). You may also want to invest in a 1" binder. I'm still new so I haven't figured out exactly how to make my "nest" in the cockpit, but I found that the 2" binders are too bulky and dealing with loose plates is a pain in the a$$. Get a 1" binder and put in your departure, arrival and alternate charts. It makes for a lot less clutter in the cockpit. I bought a "pleather" day organizer that came with a calculator for $14 at one of the office stores and it works great. It's more plyable that a hard binder so it fits in the flightbag better.
Everyone's been great to work with and you'll enjoy the time there. Good luck.
