Anybody have any official info on the pilots who where offered a conditional offer of employment. I've heard they may be given a second informal interview or have to reapply all together but no official information.

I was also offered conditional employment and in fact still have the letter dated 08-02-01 stating "congrat's and welcome to the Continental/Continental Express team" I have many fiends at XJET and unfortunately we no longer exist and will receive no priority. From what I have heard, we were purged from the system. Those that attended one day of class on September 10 were allowed to go back to training. My training date was scheduled for October 8th. I guess it is time to start the entire process over again. Still waiting for a senior recruiter to contact me.
Best of luck and conratulations to all those who are back at Express Jet.

That really sucks man! I hope you get called soon! I hope we all get called soon
: )

But you should get called first....

I responded to a smilar thread about Expressjet a few weeks ago...you can do a search for it I have a letter from Jim Reames (PRes) and CALALPA dated a little less than one year ago that says people (like me) who had a conditional offer of employment would get an "informal interview" (technicality unless you've had violations or have stopped flying since they last saw you) and considered for employment BEFORE any off street hiring resumes. IF you have kept your adress info. up to date with them. I'm at a US air WO so haven't updated anything but with all the Mesa trash going around...I think I just might take them up on that after all.

ok...my apologies...I just checked and the letter is from Jim Nides (forget his position...help anyone?) not from the bid man himself. .But I had it right on my posting a few weeks ago. One outta' two ain't bad.
Cheers!

OK, sorry it has taken me so long to get back to everybody who has pm'd me about my post. Most expressed doubt about it or wanted contact info about it. I am going to attempt to paste 2 emails here which are from CALALPA. The first is from about one year ago in response to my inquiries about pre 9-11 poolies. The next is from same lady received just today (unsolicited). Hope this stuff helps everyone out who was a poolie but may not be in contact w/ Expressjet...patience please...I am a bit computer illiterate (sp?).
peace.

Thank you for contacting me regarding your Conditional Offer of Employment with Continental Express. I regret that it has taken me so long to get back to you.First, please understand that because you did not have the opportunity to attend training at Continental Express, you are not considered an employee, you do not have recall rights, and you are not covered by Union protection. This is regretable - however, all hope is not lost!We have spoken to the company on behalf of yourself and the many other pilots in your position. The company has informed us that after recalls are complete (sometime in 2004), their intent is to contact each of you and offer you a less formal interview. This interview is to ensure that you have not had any disqualifying events take place since your last interview with Continental Express (such as DUI, arrests, at-fault accidents, incidents, or violations, etc.). They are also interested to find out what you have been doing since the last time they met with you.I have updated my records with your contact information, and I will pass it on to the company in the future.I will be sending out periodic updates on what is going on at Continental Express. We are just beginning recalls in April, so I would greatly appreciate your patience, as we are very busy these days!I hope to see you at Continental Express sometime in the future!Take care,

Dear Pilots,

I apologize that it has been quite some time since each of you have heard from me. Attempting to contact all 46 of you without a Listserver has been quite time consuming! Anyway, I wanted to give you a quick update on the goings-on at ExpressJet, and your status with the Company.First, all of the Furloughed Pilots have been recalled. Each Pilot on that list has made their final decision to Accept or Resign Recall. Currently, Recall Classes are being held through the month of February. After that, the company is looking at hiring off-the-street Pilots. I have spoken with Jim Nides, the VP of Flight Operations, and he has assured me that the company would like to contact you and offer you a second interview, as previously discussed. I have forwarded all of your contact information to him, and he will be passing that information on to the Human Resources Department.I do not have a time frame in which you might expect to hear from the Company, nor do I know what your interview will consist of. Unfortunately, you are not protected by any Union rights, so we are forced to accept whatever the company will offer you at this stage. From my conversation with Mr. Nides, I am confident each of you will be contacted in a timely manner, and will be given the opportunity to meet with the company again. In the event that you have any questions, feel free to email me. I have detailed everything I know about the situation in this email, but if I can be of help in someway, please let me know. Be advised, I have been Recalled and am currently in training myself, so it may take some time before I can return your email. On a side note, if you have any colleagues that are interested in applying to ExpressJet, we have been told by the company to encourage everyone to make use of the online application process.

Take Care and Best Wishes,

Oh and you will get such a warm welcome here after the way you promoted ALPA while at Commutair. She should have stayed there!

Fair enough Sam. Post deleted, though you have imortalized it in yours. I'm going by what I learned at a LEC meeting concerning the failed ALPA campaign at Commutair. We paid extra dues for these people to have medical benefits, and our reps and NC secured them jobs while furloughed. They turned around and spit in our face and campaigned against the very organization that got them the job. If you think I take that personal and it makes me fuming mad, you're **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** right.

JC,

I deleted my post as well. Like I said, if the rumors are true, then there is a problem. But since they are just rumors....until we get the facts, we should slow down on hanging this person.

Sam

She is so full of herself trying to play an important role, but she is only full of sh!t. I cant stand her, and I cant believe she is coming back.

What is all this "we have spoken to the company" crap in all of her emails. She doesnt talk to anyone. She has always acted like she single handedly adresses the company personally.

If you guys have questions your better off getting them answered in the forums.

Got the call!!

Hey guys,
Just got woke up by a phone call from the "Senior Recruiter" and the only question I was asked was "Will Feb 9th be a good date for you to come to Houston?", which is a good thing, because she woke me up when she called (before 7 am). I wouldn't have had the presence of mind to answer a technical question that was more difficult than to recite my full name. By the way, I was given a "conditional offer of employment" on Sept. 6, 2001.
