From what I picked up at their interview (FWIW I turned them down for several reasons including this one) the average upgrade time will be more than 6 years. That might be something you want to think about if Pinnacle's upgrade time is 2-3 years as someone noted earlier in this thread. Good luck!Flying Colors said:time, you are probably looking at a 2-3 year upgrade at Pinnacle.
Wrong. If that was the case I would not be a captain. Get your facts correct before you offer "advice"NWA said:but at express jet your looking at 7-10 years now. Don't let anyone tell you different.
Well the last bid awarded captain to June/July 2000 so that is less than the 4 1/2 years. Plus, unlike nearly every other regional out there we didn't hire after 9/11 and only started 4-5 months ago so there hasn't been any movement forward for nearly 3 years. We still have about 250 flowbacks to leave which means some pretty good movement in the next year or so not to mention average attrition. Growth plus losing pilots from the top of the list equals shortening upgrade times. You can't quote upgrade times during a period of zero growth/flowbacks and claim them as FACT. We had people who sat reserve for almost 2 years, by your logic any new hire should expect the same when they get hired. Sorry, that isn't how it works. 7-10 years? You're definately out of the loop regarding Xjet.NWA said:Well it took my bro about 4 1/2 yrs. But if you get on right now it will be longer. That's a fact.
MONEY!! $30,000 just doesn't go as far as it used to.Bjet Driver said:What's the rush to upgrade anyway, is United hiring?
