They are probably on the horn with a rapidly formed advisory committee discussing the best strategy for countering the strong pull to the left which will be experienced shortly after touchdown. I would expect that a combination of right aileron, rudder, brake, T/R and tiller are being discussed. Should the wheels and gear on the left side hold together long enough to get it slowed down to 60 kts or so, it can probably be kept on the runway. If the fire trucks get right on that left gear when it stops, there may be no immediate evacuation. The ARFF personnel certaily seem to be present in large number. Good luck guys.

P.S. The Fox commentator (Peter Goelz) seems a little more poised and reasonable in his commentary than I have become accustomed to with these "live" emergency landings!

I'm always amazed how well these pilots can put it right down the centerline even with f*cked-up gear. I wish I could make landings like that in the Cherokee!

safe landing, nice job guys.

I thought it was funny that the anchor, a few hours into this thing, didn't know which tires were blown.

Good job, I hope the crew gets a bonus.

Shortly before he landed the Fox News guy told the expert that they are getting questions from their viewers wanting to know why the crew didn't go ahead and fly to its destination since it had to burn off the fuel anyway. I can only think of a few dozen reasons why that'd be a bad idea.

Very nice. No swerve at all. They made it look like a non-event! Take the rest of the day off guys.
