I was told today by a legacy ExpressJet captain that SkyWest pilots no longer have priority on Express Jet. We are now Time of Check in, in the "other" airline category. She took a mainline American pilot over me.

Is this true? Is this the way its going to be even tho we are both wholly owned?

I really hope not...

FOM 3-5.6

Xjt pilots(some do erj vs crj because of sli, I see that)
Xjt dispatchers
Xjt employees w/proper creds
Skyw pilots
Dal/ual Mainline pilots as appropriate
DCI/uax pilots as appropriate

She was wrong, sorry about that.

Why are Skyw pilots listed twice? Maybe that's what she was looking at?

PS we aren't equal. We are reminded of that often. That is generating animosity among xjt flight crews.

Well, that's bull********************, cause neither you or I have any control over that! There are aholes on both sides of the fence, but the majority of the group doesn't feel like that.

Was it a 145 crew? If so that explains everything. Just be thankful you don't have to merge with them.

Gate agents have too much discretion and no accountability.
