CT, so glad he's outa here What SH do these days? Bet he was pissed BS got CT's job over himself.

I'd be cool w/ using my own iPad. Tires of lugging that bag around. Maybe give us an allowance each month for using our own? I dunno, gotta be a solution.

FAA will not allow some guys to do it one way, and some guys do it another. It has to be a signed off, all or nothing deal.

Management has screwed this up for over 4 years. not really surprising ? just think the iPad program could of been paid for over 3 years ago.

Its not about being cheaper.. Its the SkyWest inc "accusations" department. No capital expenditures, unless they have a rate of return in under 18 months... EFB's don't come close to that savings target.. But yes they will still come. But not for awhile...

This is completely not true. The ROI is well below what is required by Skywest bean counters, not even including some OJI cost savings. The holdup as of today is that we started the 6 months testing for the ipad, and have switched to the Surface Pro. The FAA is not allowing the months of ipad testing to count, and they need to start over for the Surface. This means 6 more month, and then the rollout....etc. It will come next spring.

Highly doubt it will be the Pro version. It's not a tablet like the iPad or RT. Its bigger heavier and less battery life. Also its about twice as much $$.
