I heard the upgrades are speeding up over there.. any truth to that?

They are running the training department to capacity and they are still short on ca's and fo's system wide. They are paying 1 1/2 for picking up any open time for the entire month of June.

Word is our loads are already better than Independence ever had. Hopefully that entire retarded comparison is dead and buried forever. Best thing that's ever happened here. And it's just a matter of time before Continental cries uncle, drops CHQ and asks us to come back to the ranch with planes that can actually take 50 passengers 1300-1400nm under almost any conditions.

I'm glad to hear things are going great. Keep up the good work guys!

Yeah about the FA jumpseat in the back, its for XJT/CAL pilots only...but of all the times I've flown when we have an XJT jumpseater and another pilot and a full boat, the XJT guys will usually take the FA jump so you can ride.
Actually, pilots from Commutair (CLE based), Chautauqua (COEX System), Colgan (IAH based), Gulfstream, and Cape Air (Guam based) are allowed on the FA jumpseat at ExpressJet.

See FIL 06-093.

Actually, that FIL was posted prematurely. It contains other errors as well. It should be pulled, but is hasn't.

If you read the FOM, page 8-31:

"ExpressJet and Continental Flight Attendants and pilots and ExpressJet dispatchers and mechanics have cabin jumpseat access on all ExpressJet aircraft. This access includes the flight attendant jumpseat and any remaining seats on the EMB-145 as well as any remaining customer seats on EMB-135."

We'll be updating the jumpseat section soon, since the way it's currently written doesn't adequately reflect the changes that have happened with our flying the past few months, like the addition of branded and Delta flying.
