I'm trying to figure out what is really going on with Express Jet. I think some of the past threads have confused Express Jet with Mesa. I was woundering what is really going on with Express Jet. Anyone?

CAL is going to take back 69 a/c starting 12/06. XJT has the option of coming up with an agreement that both XJT and CAL agree on to keep the 69 under the "globed tail" Or XJT can take the 69 and fly on their own or under other colors. Or CAL takes the 69 and lets somebody else fly them. The real question is, how many block hours disappear with that 69 a/c.

nothing going on now.. 8 months to figure it out..

CAL is going to start a new regional airline with the 69 jets and you will all flock to work there at $19.00/hr for the first year in the left seat (just to get the seniority) and then complain about the "race to the bottom", fat flight attendants, stupid radio calls and general mistreatment of yourselves on the jumpseat on this message board over the next several years.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

Most of us at XJT have more respect for ourselves then you do at mesa or gjets MR.BEN.

Relax, I think Ben was just being sarcastic. Judging by his profile and A/C Flown it looks like he's been at COEX for quite some time (B1900-145XR).

Like all of us I wanted the uniform, to fly a cool jet as quick as possible, to feel equal to my friends, have hot chicks look at you during boarding while you flip switches and look cool, and all that other stuff

dude...why did you post this exact same message in two threads..both of which really have nothing to do with either subject...btw....just busting your stones....

We, ExpressJet, are going to buy CAL. All international flying will go to UAL in a seperate merger. We will then fly all the domestic stuff in RJs and 737-500. Colgan is going to get 50 seat turbo props where the RJ's don't make sense. We will all be paid the same rate no matter the size of the aircraft. You will also have to pay for training. Upgrades are promised to happen no longer than 9 months from date of hire.

Of course I heard this from someone in the training department, or was it the chief pilot in the jumpseat, or was it my best friends sisters boyfriends cousin was in 31 Flavors last night. They said Feris passed out. I hear it's pretty serious....

Bueller? Bueller?

Let me say it, please! "and the race to the bottom continues!" It is applicable here!
