Xjet to recall 144 pilots by Feb., and more to come after that. That is according to the 10/10/03 Voice Mail of our VP of Flight Opps. Welcome back!

Great News! Congrats!

And hopefully some CAL recalls too. That would help move things also at COEX.

Bye bye--General Lee:rolleyes:

it's been said before a million times, that union work is a thankless job. when things go good, everyone's quiet. when things are bad, everyone pipes up and screams at the union for not making it better. anyway, my rambling here is, again, a thankless job the union has done. i'm not sure of the specific wording on what the coex guys at skywest and commutair can do upon receiving a recall letter, but, if they are in fact able to stay at their new employers permanently, my best wishes follow them. if they choose to resign from coex, they obviously have found a better, more suitable fit somewhere else. best of luck to them! i sincerely hope, however, that they remember how they got those jobs.

More like 30% per what the company is saying. I've been told XJT to be hiring early next year.

It'll be great to finally see more hiring and growth again. But in order to hire more pilots, don't they first have to have all furloughed pilots back on property?

an uninformed response to the above question would make me think yes, they need to have at least sent recall letters, offered the opportunity of recall, to all the furloughed pilots. once that pool has been exhausted then they can start hiring off the street. as great news as this is to see recalls happening at coex, i won't truly be happy until we see cal recalling their guys. movement at the bottom of the list helps junior folks out, and gets furloughed/unhired people jobs, but does not necessarily help everyone above them out. if cal starts bringing their flowbacks back to their proper seats, then i may break out the expensive (10 dollar) wine to celebrate.
