Anyone know if Express Jet is done with classes for 06'...been quite persistent in updating the resume and faxing Hr...I have 1200 total/ 135 multi...?
 
Last I heard they were adding new classes on top of the ones already planned.
 
Would'nt happen to know when the next few are planed for??

One thing is CAL is hiring alot of our guys. Not to mention the other airlines our guys are getting hired with. Not to mention the rumors that float around about next year. The hiring is going to continue and additional classes for Newhire and Upgrade have been added that werent planned on. Take it for what its worth.

I just heard from them this week after applying just over 2 months ago. So it takes a while to hear back. I got hired elsewhere and have turned down the interview.
 
They are definitely hiring, I got an email from them two days ago for an interview, I had to turn it down because I already started somewhere else... take a wild guess. Seems like a good place though.

I personally don't think Xjt will have much of a future after the 69 planes of flying is dumped. The rumor here at cal and from what I hear from capatins when I fly my 737 is that CAL wants to dump even more xjt flying. Xjt has high costs CAL wants to dump them and their rjs to make room for more mainline flying.

If you ask me I'm very happy, XJT is taking lots of flying that should have been for CAL. I won't be happy till there are no Xjt planes with the deathstar on them.

Gonna have an unhappy life then, kiddo.

Superkooter is a lame high school kid with knowledge of aviation trying to rile everyone up with his claims. Joined in May 2006 with 250+ posts from then to now. Wonder what user name he was banned from previously and how many lattes at Starbucks he had to serve to earn that $10 to join again? Putz.

I also recently got an email to choose an interview date (oct 9th, 12th, or 23rd). I replied requesting the 12th-this was yesterday morning-and have yet to hear anything further...

Where are you getting this information from (concerning cost). What I've found contradicts what you're saying about cost...just curious.

Holy Jesus, God and Mary, I'm glad that all the CAL commuters we carry around don't voice the same sentiment as you, nobody'd ever get to work. BTW, we didn't steal or take mainline's stuff, it was given to us, we were wholly owned then chief. Ya'll gave us these 274 "industry killing" planes. I'm pretty sure the Scab Wagons (MDs) were a little expen$ive on the fuel. I'm guessing you didn't work for us prior to joining Continental Air Lines, good for you. What you should also do is tell all of the ex-Express Jet pilots that make up almost half of your seniority list and see what they say, i'd reckon the majority wouldn't agree at least the past 200 plus we've sent over wouldn't, chief. An RJ going to Denver or Toronto from Houston, yes that shouldn't happen, but talk to Your management team chief, don't blame it on or those tens of thousands of block hours ya'll dump to us each month.

Don't give us sh%# for picking up flying for CAL that YOUR management did not want to do with 73s because there was no money in it. The extreme cost-shaving plan that your management is implementing will only be good for the short-term.

I’m sick of reading multiple pages of people responding to painfully obvious flame bait. It’s truly terrifying to know that some of you operate jets but are not smart enough to figure this out time and time again. My God man, read it! When someone posts something like, “…when I fly my 737” and “I won't be happy till there are no Xjt planes with the deathstar on them.” it’s not real. When you respond and quote him, I have to read this idiot’s pathetic attempt to get a rise out of you. Yet it never fails, someone always gives him exactly what he wants...attention. :smash:

Kooter -- did your Captains tell you that when they pulled the 69 aircraft they also increased block hours for XJT which in turn increased the utilization of the other aircraft that would remain thereby lowering XJTs cost?

How about asking for a 90 day extension on removing the first of the 69?

Just curious, before you got your job flying "your" 737, what airline were you stealing flying from?
