WTF? What risk did I take? I chose LAX among the three bases that were available to me because it's the biggest city of the three (Ontario and SAT don't exactly get that many flights from my home city). Upgrade early? No...

Fact is that those who are moaning a little about LAX schedules had no idea what the schedules were going to be when they bid it. I doubt they were thinking, "The lines might be really horrible out there....but I'll roll the dice and try." It wasn't until after the last perm-bid that people (McPickle etc) started grumbling that the schedules weren't working out well.

That's like complaining to guys who got pushed back to the right seat when the flowbacks came..."you chased the upgrade, if you had more seniority this wouldn't have happened." How could they have predicted it?
