Last I knew, both Riddles were accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Universities. The Southern Association is one of the accrediting bodies recognized by the Department of Education. Any school accredited by one of these bodies is a "real" college.T/SF34/A said:Wouldn't want my company finding out I did not go to a "real" college. Does this mean my degree isn't real either?
I worked at ERAU in Prescott for 2 1/2 years and visited Daytona. For one thing, Daytona is a bigger school than Prescott. I believe that the Prescott campus was the old Prescott College facility, which was not a community college. Also, the Prescott campus reflects a Southwestern-style archetecture. The way a school looks on the outside does not mean anything. It's the education you get on the inside that matters . . . . Did you visit the Daytona campus? Does the Daytona campus look like a community college also?
You're nuts to go to Riddle in this day and age. I went there and graduated in 1982. While the education was fine, I found it contributed very little to my success. My success was due to hard work, timing, luck, and persistence....had nothing to do with Riddle or my training there. Save your money and get a degree in something you enjoy besides flying. Get your ratings at a local flight school. Going to Riddle allowed me to check the box on the app that says "I have a degree"....that's about it.
