One must be a current Captain to qualify for the Delta SSP which is something the union sold as current Captain or have been a Captain. In reality, downgraded CAs and FOs can only interview at Delta outside the SSP.

Actually, the FOs have a SSP of their own it's called the Sinking Ship Program. Participation in this SSP is free and all it takes is a resignation letter because it is not worth sticking around for a FO.
