Ive been at the Evil Empire for a number of years now and if you can put up with "small town Idaho" style management its an O.K. gig. If you prefer to fly under mgt. radar, just get the s h i t from point A to point B, and collect a boringly average paycheck every two weeks, youll do fine. If your looking to build large amounts of time, get rich, or have good looking chicks ask question about the sexy plane you fly, dont apply.

If you don't care where you'll be based then you might do ok. You might not find out where in the country you'll be flying until after they hire you.

There is absolutely no reason for anyone to come to Empire. EA is no better than Ameriflight but without any quick flight or upgrade time. If you want to build time at a regional then go to Skywest or Horizon or some where else. You'll only get treated like a second class citizen with no way out because of a highly immoral, long term and expensive unbreakable contract. You will be forced to move at any time and at the companies whim. Pay is stagnant, sub-par and not likely to change any time soon. No one at the company stands up for the pilots except for the pilot group but they can only do so much. The companies motto should be "we will do what ever we want to you and if you don't like it, leave." Go to a regional that when you leave you will feel like a budding professional and not some bent over gimp with vinegar in your mouth. Many pilots are jumping ship and for good reason.

It sounds like your pretty bitter about something. Empire isn't perfect, but there are far worse companies out there to work for. Sure, there are things that could be improved, but I actually enjoy my job most of the time.
