Is Empire Airlines doing any hiring right now? How many ATRs are based out of SEA? What is the upgrade time for the ATR? How many days a month does a line holder typically fly?
Thanx-

yes indeed

Yes, Empire is hiring right now. If you are interested in working there, I would recommend getting my resume to them ASAP. Upgrade time will probably be fairly quick for new hires with high time because our ugrade mins are 3000 tt and 1000 Pic and Muliti or something like that. You can check out our web site at www.empireairlines.com or pm me for more info. Currently, we have 2 ATRs in SEA with one in Vancouver B.C. that the SEA crews also fly. Everyone in a base does an equal amount of flying(at least that is how the sysetem is intended). It varies how much you fly- right now most of us are pretty busy because we are a little short crewed so we are flying more than normal, but in a normal month, expect to fly anywhere from 15-25 days.

Thanx tsky for the info-much appreciated! I will get my resume in, especially since I live in the Seattle area and being based in SEA would be great. How senior is the SEA base for the pilots? Does Empire do any day flying with their ATRs or is it all done at night?

We need f/o's in SEA! All of our right seaters are upgrading. The YVR-OAK trip is an all-nighter. The airplanes that leave from SEA go to Ketchikan, Sitka and Juneau, Alaska, overnight and return to SEA. It's a sweet schedule if you live in SEA. Right now we still have F-27's on the Alaska trip, but should be ATR's by June. Of course this is all subject to change.

Good to hear that Empire is hiring-what does the upgrade timeframe look like? Is it around 12 months or longer?

The guys who are upgrading right now have been around for about two years. That seems to be fairly consistent.

How's the Pay Fract? Just curious, feel free to PM me. Im looking to get back west or up north;)

When I see 2 ATR's in SEA, you will already have seen the monkeys fly out of my butt and outclimb an F to FL190.

My bicycle could outclimb an F to FL190.

I think that poor !@#$ out in ICT is the last...oh, sorry.

I looked at Empire. Looks like a great company, they fly into PAJN all the time. Are they hiring for the Caravans and how set are they on thier minimums? I'm lookin to get into the Seatle base. Any info pls.

Pay...

do you guys get paid? Haven't seen any payscales for Empire anywhere. What's the story?
