Any past or present alum from empire care to share about the company. I know the bases just looking for QOL, Pay, bennies, training, & management interaction. I'm looking at getting out of the people hauling side.

Thanks
Jobear

I worked there for almost six years. Don't have too much to say bad about them. I think they are one of the better carriers in that end of aviation. I have recomended it to quite a few people.
The southeast AK flying was some of the coolest work I have ever done, and most of the crews were great.
But, I am a bit of an anomoly, I just enjoy moving boxes in old airplanes.

Love it

Been flyin' with Empire for about 3 months now and diggin' it.
Live in domicile, work 4 nights a week, weekends and 6 holidays off, street hire captain.... benies are ok...not the greatest health insurance...... pay scale is on Airline Pilot Central web site now...... Ciao

good company, with good people. Been here 3 years, and been treated real well. You don't fly a whole lot except for the SEA or CWA bases.

Same as everyone else has said. I've been with EA for 3 years and most everyone treats you very well. That doesn't mean you don't have to watch your back , but all in all I think it is a great place to build time and even stay if you like your base and don't mind 5 figure salary for your career.98% of the crews are great people to fly with also.

I flew the Caravans then went to the 121 side, and look what its done for me. I fly a premium 1960's jet to glorious places like Bujumburri, Burrunda (don't hate me if my spellings off, I think theres an h in there.)

That doesn't sound so bad, from where I'm sitting. Of course, I guess that's how the game works, and why we all keep jumping around looking for the golden apple. Anyway, I'm a little short on the multi time, although I've 1000 or so 135 IFR single engine. Will they move you laterally in to the ATR or Fokker with very low multi time (~10 hours, enough to get the rating) if you spend some time "proving yourself" on the vans?

Thanks,
Rip

Sounds exotic F&B! Mr. big jet driver! lol!!! Say hi to the wife for me.

F & B,
Hey AK'n brewery sampler!
How's the thin air been?
Just heard something about you guys and Ch.11.
What up freight-dog?

The Ch11 stuff is to get rid of some old debt the company aqired after 9/11, it had been killing us trying to pay it off. They say that business will go as usual, my tickets paid for me to get home tonight.
How are things going over there? I heard they finally moved you over to the left seat, you deserve it. You guys are always in my thoughts, and I still miss SE AK.

We must all abide. Hey Mr. Beer, I did my IOE up in SE and it was like visiting an old friend. The air is as fresh and clear as the rain that never stops and if you listen hard enough you can still hear the scream of the F drifting through the canyons ( or it might just be the ringing in my ears). I do the Couv next week. I'm really not looking forward to it but I'm excited to see old friends.
I'm glad that things are looking up at Gemini. Take care and as always I'll save you and the CAPT a barstool at the end of the bar with me. Bee.

I'd give anything to be drinking beer and hitting on fat chicks at the Sandbar right now.

Cappy, you were the best wingman a guy could ask for, but next time I belly up to "two scoops of melted vanilla icecream" at 3:00am in a dark bar in the middle of BFE Alaska, pull me aside and ask me if I really want to do it.

'F'-n-beer,
Good to hear it's not all bad news. Yeah, got the upgrade the end of this past year, so that was a nice change. Not current on the ATR anymore, so it looks like it'll be a while before I get back up to the SE. :( Just sucks a bit having to always 'pay' for the Alaskan beer.
Hope the flying keeps going well for you guys.

I love how every thread started with a question about Empire always digresses to Empire pilots talking about drinking and fat chicks. LOL

Makes me happy to know I fit right in.

I bid out of AFW. Getting paid to sleep is only fun for about 2 weeks.
Now I'm in "The Taw". A town I know you love. :)
Its a pretty cool town. Old school with random bars everywhere. I think I'm going to fit right in....

Of course, now I'm stuck with Bobo135. LOL

Buffalo Wild Wings (sweet honey bbq and blazen), Hog Wild BBQ and Pleasures; the only things you need to know about Whycheeta Kanass.

ICT ROCKS!!! You know you miss it.

And you don't know how lucky you are to be there with the Bobo..... How 'bout a little respect for your elders, son. There are Plenty of Fat chicks in Old Town for everyone!

Bling are you flyin yet out of SEA? I know your ATR retraining was wrapped up a few weeks ago.

And Bobo.... I don't really have much to say exept fat chicks need some attention to. You know they do all the dirty stuff!

On another note, THREAD JACKED.
