I wonder if it's the same United Airbus that had an electrical problem in LAX yesterday and had to "re-boot" on the taxiway.

I was deadheading on a US Air (AWA) 320 out of OAK last month. At v1 apparently TR 2 fried and took out all nav, comm, and most or all of the displays as well as autopilot and autothrust. It's kinda tough to fly the lost comm procedure while you're lost nav at the same time. After a VFR comm out escape over the San Francisco bay area, the crew went out off the coast a couple of miles and managed to troubleshoot some stuff back into operation. They did a great job. Thank god it was CAVU though - it could have been pretty ugly.

I'm thinkin' the electrical system on the 320 may not be aging real gracefully.
