There's lots of stuff on this board about Pacific Jet. You did a search and couldn't find it? I'm surprised.

I haven't heard anything good about Pacific Jet. 'Nuff said.

Thanks. You're right...there is a lot of info to see here on the board. I had been searching google (should've bought their stock instead.)

Thanks Hawker,

Since my post, my CA friend has had 2 interviews with Trans-Exec. He checked around and chose not to interview with Pacific Jet (lots of bad sh*t about them) and Elite never called him back. Trans-Exec sounds pretty good. He interviewed with the D.O. and the owner and got a tour of their planes and facilities. Their pay was above standards and some of the crews he met said that it was a good place to work. He has an interview also set up with AirGroup, they also sound like a very good place to work.

What kind of time does he have?

Flight time

I don't know, but he's been flying for at least 20 years. From what I've read though, most of the larger jet companies don't hire copilots with much less than 3,000 to 4,000 hours. Their web site ( www.transexec.com/employment.htmlhttp://www.transexec.com/employment ) says minimum 15 years experience. I doubt that's true. A lot of companies put cr*p like that on their websites to impress customers. Sorry son, it's a world full of bullsh*t and you have to wade thru it.

I'd love to hear more about Trans-exec. Sounds like your friend must have GIV/GV type and time. Their aircraft look very nice online. What about starting pay for new FOs? I'd like to know more about flying variety (how far afield), days off, schedule (week on/week off), etc.

If your friend is typed in a LR-Jet or G-IV and he is still is looking to work for a solid aviation company, may I suggest that he put on a suit and drop off a resume at Elite. A voice mail left for any Chief Pilot asking for a job, as most of us know, is ineffective. If your friend knew how many resumes Elite receives from employees of companies he is currently interviewing with, he might understand why his phone call was never returned.

Hope all works out for your friend...

I don't really know much more. I guess you could just try to give them a call and see where you get. I'm not too sure about any of these 135 companies. I hear most of them are pretty poorly run. But give it a try, this one seems to be hiring.
