I think (scary) that it has an aircraft position feature on the 10-9 that the FAA won't certify so they don't want to pay for something they can't use.

That was the FAA position at one time, in the programs nascent stages. It no longer is. Don't take it from me as I'm a lowly LCA, talk to DM. If your in a postion to make any comments about the program as an informed source, then you'll know who the initials belong to. DM is the FO contact with the FAA on the program.
 
Piedmont is getting EFB's? Wow! That will be the most high tech thing in the Dash.
 
I can just see the EFB's getting smashed behind the seat with all the coffee stained, coverless, page-missing manuals. There is not even a good place to put our speed charts nevermind a delicate EFB.
