Not at all surprised... Delta/Mesaba intentionally overbid the price on these routs with the Saab because they have NO INTENTION of keeping ANY Saabs as the leases come due... (look what is already happening/Delta's history with the Tprop) not to mention the timings set up by NWA for the contracts/leases in their bankruptcy... Delta basically wants 76up feed to their international hubs to send people overseas... The Saabs and eventually 50 seaters have no place in the new Delta.... And Lee Moak is playing right into that with how he has given away all the scope and protections to keep the smaller end stuff around. Soon Delta will be a wide body company and its "regionals" will be anything "narrow body"....if we are lucky they don't outsource everything to foreigners....
 
Is Skywest going to be using the CRJ or the Bro for this? If it is the CRJ... Dumb. Not at all cost effective.

Its EAS flying. Doubt they care how cost effective it is. Uncle Sam will be paying for it.
