Actually really good until you try to cash your paycheck. You don't have to work at all. Their planes will be in the desert before their first flight.

I have great memories of flying on Eastern as a kid. Loved the A300-B4s and 757 "whisper jets."

Key questions will be:

1. How will you attract pilots when 3 majors, Spirit, Jet Blue and SWA are hiring? Beyond a potential quick upgrade for early joiners, why would someone with experience consider a start-up like Eastern vs a slot at a legacy with so many upcoming retirements?

2. Will pilots need to pay for their A320 type? That would be a deal breaker IMO.

3. How will a new Eastern secure slots and gates at any of the major airports? Just look at how Virgin America has been constrained...

1. Relaxed Visa requirements for ICAO-qualified pilots from India, etc. to come during "pilot shortage"
2. Sure, eventually everyone will after this "shortage" passes

You kidding they probably have a thousand applications already. People don't even know what they're paying or work rules but they see that airbus with the sweet eastern logo and they're in.
