Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc. files with the U.S. Dept. of Transportation as the first step in launching the new Eastern Air Lines

MIAMI, Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastern Air Lines Group, Inc., ("Eastern") has filed an application with the United States Department of Transportation for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. Eastern plans on commencing its Part 121 certification with the Federal Aviation Administration shortly and has retained legal counsel and consultants for this purpose.

I just hope they don't ask pilots to pony up $200K like Kiwi…what a scam, get your employees to fund your airline. The executives on their website is less than impressive, especially the COO.
 
An imminent threat to the already established charter operation known as Miami Air International, that was ironically, started by ex EAL pilots and airplanes. ?

AA the largest airline in the world has a hub in MIA. B6, SW, and Spirit entrenching in FLL. Nope. I see no problems at all for Eastern II
