Just got offered interview at American Eagle.

Heard that next two classes are first week in December and January 9th. Does anyone know which aircraft they are hiring on and where the junior bases are? Also, QOL at company.

Thanks!

Just do a search for eagle one this forum or join eaglelounge.com

They hire into the ATR, Saab, ERJ, and CRJ. You won't know which you get until the 1st day of class. Oldest picks first. That also has everything to do with what bases are going to be available to you. QOL? I have nothing to compare it to, but a lot of people are unhappy with our current contract which is kinda tough s*it because it isn't up for review for quite some time. The major problem seems to be the flowthrough/flowback agreement with AA. I won't begin to try and explain that, but suffice it to say, upgrades are not in the near future.

We've got good bases though (in my opinion) so if that's what you mean by QOL and/or you live in one of the bases then that's good.

Dallas
CRJ,ERJ,Saab

Los Angeles
ERJ (senior), Saab

Chicago
ERJ (junior), CRJ

New York
ERJ (senior)

Boston
ERJ (senior)

Miami
ATR (senior)

San Juan
ATR (junior)

Like the last poster said, do a search and you'll find quite a bit. Good luck.

For now, no upgrade in sight. But since this industry is the way it is, things might change in a moments notice. Good company, good aircraft, nice people and excellent training. QOL depends on what you define it to be. I don't have much to complain. Go to the interview, see for yourself and good luck.
Anyway, if you decide to come to Eagle, just make the best of it and welcome to the club.

I WOULD DEFINETLY not get the RJ then. I think I'll still interview... Right now I'm in a pool for the RJ but no class date yet. I am doing boring tasks anxiously awaiting "the call."

Upgrades are completely non-existant here at Eagle. We have 7-year f/o's and going on 8. In fact things are going backwards here as captains are displaced back to the right seat. If PIC time is important to you then go somewhere else because you won't get it here in the next 10 years.

assuming you are female why not pick the airline of your choice at the regional level. best upgrade time, best bases, etc. eagle seems to be less desirable than others with much quicker upgrade times.

the odds are in your favor so you might as well be selective. i'd do the same if i had an advantage.

Oh boy......so now being female gets you in with any regional too? Hey Chicks, fuk the Eagle interview, since you are female, you can probably get on with FedEx, UPS or SWA. Don't waste your time with the regionals sista, we got the hookup at the majors. Don't worry, they will waive the minimums for you....they did for me since I am "female". I only had 500TT in a 172 and I got hired at UPS! :rolleyes:P.S. On a more serious note.....Eagle would be my last pick, it sounds like you will never upgrade there.
