Well they have a lot more pilots furloughed again at American and some of them will flow back to Eagle. I have a friend that is getting displaced from one jet to another soon. Maybe that is why.

RE: AA FURLOUGHS

The recent announcement of additional AA pilot furloughs next year has generated several questions concerning the impact on Eagle pilots. Following are the facts as we know them:

At the present time, AA pilots that were furloughed during the summer of 2003 and October 2004 are being processed in accordance with Letter 3 for CJ captain positions. We anticipate that there will be approximately 210 AA furloughed pilots occupying Eagle jet captain positions from these two rounds of furloughs. The 210 pilots represent a 25 percent historical acceptance rate for Eagle flow-back positions, which means the actual number of flowbacks could be slightly higher or lower depending on the actual acceptance rate.

AA has announced additional pilot furloughs in 2005; -- 125 in January and up to an additional 325 by summer. Again, based on an expected 25 percentage acceptance rate for flow back positions, we anticipate approximately 112 more flow back pilots from AA. After the training is completed on the 112 pilots, we will have approximately 477 furloughed AA pilots occupying CJ captain positions at Eagle.

A frequently asked question is, "What is the maximum number of positions available for flow-back consideration?" The number of jet captain positions available for AA flow back pilots is equal to the total number of Eagle jet captains that have claimed flow-through status under the provisions of Letter 3.

The talk of additional pilot furloughs at AA is not good news for either the affected AA pilots who are losing their current positions, or for Eagle pilots who are affected by jet captain displacements or diminished captain upgrade opportunities. In fact the entire airline industry is short on good news. I continue to believe we’ll get through these difficult times because AA and AE management and labor are committed to taking the necessary steps to return AMR to profitability. In the mean time, please remain focused on the primary objective of providing the safest operation possible in a professional manner.

See, Don't worry, managment is on the case! ;)

Traditionally at Eagle there is a slow down in the hiring process during the November/December time period to revamp after the holidays. The reason's are simple, lots of people are taking vacations during this time period so they have a shortage of instructors. 2nd...contractually you can't train during thanksgiving, christmas and new years so it puts a crimp on things. Eagle is VERY short staffed, they are still receiving new airplanes, and they are still bleeding mid seniority pilots to other airlines. I would have made 5 years this month and have never had the seniority to be captain. The closest I came was on September 10, 2001...one month away. Since that time I have left Eagle, upgraded to captain, and now hold a line as a captain at another regional. I expect that the latest AA furlough announcements only added more hordes to the exit doors.

I expect Eagle will be filling their first officer rolls for the indefinet future...it's just a matter of how long it will take those FO's to become captains.

they also did not get loan for last I think 18 airplanes

I heard that they also did not got loan for their last 18 new ERJ's

What about MOOSER????

I interviewed with Eagle on Nov,15th and of the 5 of us interviewing none of us made it ( I think). Two went on to the sim but I believe that they did not make it. Well maybe the one attractive girl made it. You dont get the paperwork untill showing that you made it onto the sim portion until you are done with the HR portion after the tech. The girl was given the paperwork after the tech and then she had the HR. Hmmmm that was strange to me. Anyway the employee newsletter said that they have cancelled the last 18 deliveries of the ERJ's. When I was told to get my stuff the Captain sat me down and told me that they had stopped hiring. So there you go. I saw on the news also that AA has gotten rid of the pillows on all the MD80's to save money. SAD.

I interviewed at AE on 10/18 and was given an offer. I was told to expect a Nov. or Dec. class, and I have not heard anything from them to date. Looks like the flowbacks put a stop to that. Luckily I was also given another offer from another regional.

And for rodawg, I'm a guy and I was given my paperwork after the tech portion and prior to completing the HR. I don't think gender is an issue.
