Got a message from management today that there would be no more furloughs (for now), and that 10 people would be recalled to the Saab in LA.

This is good news for those of you that were furloughed from Eagle (again). Still no announced plans for the future, but management says they are waiting on the APA TA.

Good luck in your decision on whether or not to come back.

I was talking with an Eagle Saab FO in DFW the other day and heard that the 20 or so that were recalled into the Saab there were furloughed June 1. Tough break. One thing's for sure though: I won't be going back. Good luck to whoever does. One more seat for those out there looking for work! :)

EAGLE FURLOUGHS - How Many?

So approximately how many does Eagle have furloughed. I'm furloughed CAL and former Eagle and I wouldn't mind right-seat back at Eagle for awhile... Hell, I'll take right-seat just about anywhere commutable from Austin.

I think the total number of furloughs stands at about 250. But, nobody knows how many of those would still come back if offered. I don't think the Union is tracking who got jobs elsewhere, and I know the company isn't.

Hmmmm...I seem to remember that the original number was 319. 2 resigned immediately and others have moved on since. It coulda been only 250, but I've always heard that it was more. Sad thing too. I was excited to be at Eagle, even with all of the stuff that people said about it. I was even happy to be going to Boston (crazy!). Now they have such a bad reputation that ... well 'nuff said. Everytime I jump with them I introduce myself as furloughed Eagle and both the captain and FO tell me that I'm better off. A couple of times the FO hit me up for a recommendation! ;) Well, I hope those who are there make it through to better times.
