Are there furloughed guys with more time available, and they're just leery of overqualified folks, or is 12 and 2 actually competitive now?

I guess there are the mins.. Just got the latest vacancy Bid
55 CA upgrades. (5 displacements) but still is quite some movement:)

I was told by one of their recruiters that 2000/500 with part 135 exp is competitive now but they have been hiring at lower.

According to my friend at Eagle, 1200 and 200 is what is needed to be competitive with the flowbacks.

Duck!

I had my paperwork walked up over a month ago with 1700(+) and 250(+) and have yet to hear anything.
I guess they are still working with the higher times or I just don't know the right person.

Oh well another round of resumes will go out at the end of the month.

Good Luck All

I interviewed back in February with 1650/500 and Part 135 experience. I was hired for the March 1 class. There were guys with a lot more and some with less time than me in class. It took about 2 months to hear from them.

V-Snap, Don't sit idly by dude!! I did not hear anything after a month either and look at my time, 4500 TT 1500 ME, 1000 Turbine, 600 actual IFR and 2.5 years part 135 freight. So I called the recruiting number and talked to Karen. She looked up my application in the system and scheduled me for an interview on the spot. Everything went well and I start class soon.

Get rid of that "oh well" attitude my friend and pursue that job!

Yeah call em. Believe me, they get awful busy around recruitment and you may have accidentally been "lost". As long as you are polite and don't badger them, I see nothing wrong with "following up" to see that they have your app or resume'. They wouldn't think poorly of that...you are only trying to to get a job.

The word around the school house is we are increasing hiring to 80 to 90 a month. We will be using ERJ sims at the academy, FSI DFW, and FSI Houston.
Good luck and be pro-active in trying to secure your job.

I think they are going to get closer to the 1200/200 guys as they will stay longer. For some reason we have a high attrition rate right now?

Whats the fax # to fax your resume to get an app from eagle?
Or do they have another way of getting the app?

Can I get a phone# for Karen? I e-mailed and received a polite you will recieve a letter in the mail concerning an interview. I never did understand this message as phone calls seem to be the norm.
I will try again though, and I never give up, I just wait then pounce.

Well I got through to pilot recruiting.

Let me tell you make sure your online application is complete. Mine was held up only because one of my employment records didn't show a reason for leaving. This is not a required field on the application and somehow I missed it so it did not kick back when submitted.

Double check those apps, and they are going low to 1200 and 200 if they have to.

used airlineapps.com to fill out my Frontier application... guess my stuff was sent to Eagle as well.

6000TT/5000ME/4500Turbine

About 7 days after I filled out the airlineapps.com application, I was sent a rejection letter from Eagle stating that I wasn't what they were looking for. I researched and found that I exceeded every single one of their minimums (times, education, etc...)

Was sort of humorous. Guess they want the low-time "trainable" folks.

Not neccessarily true. My co-worker, who's probably 50'ish has a whole career of Navy P-3 flying under his belt, three masters degrees, two bachelors degrees and considerable 135 PIC turbine time, just turned down a class date with them. I heard he got an interview with SWA coming up as well.

The result was:" fix the problem and call me back" So I fixed the problem and I called her back. Then she said "OK I will reprocess the application" I said, OK what kind of time frame can I expect, I would like an idea so if need be I can check back and make any furthur corrections or updates as needed. She says "we review on a daily basis so I should receive one of 3 letters via e-mail" in time.
That was it, I will check back though in 1wk or so to make sure, as I did not receive anything the first time around.

Good job V-Snap. Definitely check back with her next week because they want to hire folks who want to work for them. However I suspect you'll hear from them soon as long as you meet all their requirements, etc... Keep us posted.
