I was looking at the gouges on Eagle at aviationinterviews and there was something said about a 7 hour medical. I am looking to apply there. I'm healthy and I have a first class one. What are they doing for 7 hours? Do you have to renew your 1st class medical at Eagle Medical every 6 months??

Take blood, pee test, turn your head and cough (and then some), eardrum test, hearing test, cog test on a computer, etc.

Not to hijack, but what exactly is a cog test? Is that one of those tests that has no right answer but they want to see what your thought process is?

Example:
Your mom and dad are both hanging off a cliff and you only have time to save one....who will it be? No right answer, Right? But what they are really looking for is that you save neither but instead jump off the cliff yourself so you wouldn't have to live with the guilt...

If they find you ill during your medical will they report it to the FAA??

yeah pretty much those are the kinds of questions. I am curious too. I need an eagle guy to answer. BTW how much blood do they take I hate that @!#$

Those aren't the type of questions, those are the questions you would get on a personality test. A COG test has a variety of subjects, the test takes about 45 min. You will get some simple math questions, memory test (they will give you numbers to memorize), some multi tasking drills, along with some other crap. Don't sweat it, you are going to screw it up just like everyone else does, there is no way to study so don't think about it. Most time in the medical will be spent sitting around waiting your turn for a certain test. When I went through, the first guy that could pee in the cup was the first guy out of there, so drink lots of water. If they find something abnormal they will send you to a specialist and have him fix you or sign you off. Don't worry about it!

Gee guys, look at the morons working for Eagle that passed the cog test. It isn't that hard!
