Thats what airlinepilotcentral says....anyone know of someone getting hired with that? I know a guy that was just picked up with 1400TT and a 4 year degree but 500TT seem like a new low?

I remember when it was 1500 and 300 multi. Maybe the pilot group is becoming more educated and passing on poor jobs.

I understand the bridge program but this is posted on Airlinepilotcentral.com...Not quite U of Dubuque. Which btw that must be a new thing? AE has a bridge program with a lot of those types of schools.

Why are you second guessing Santa Clause? Get in or go in.

Kevin Foley sent out a email about it I think in April about the bridge program at dbq.

What would be the point in flying with Eagle? No upgrade, no PIC Turbine, no nothing? $20k to start you cannot live off of in most of their bases.

They need to start hiring with lower times so it takes that much longer for the FO's to start b!tching about not being upgraded

yeah right off IOE... Ummmm what is a PTT or what are hold short lines!!! 500TT that is just down right scary. You need higher mins !

Very true....However, Everyone is different. There are things about Eagle i like and dont, such as the what you listed above. There are a lot of things FOR ME that would make Eagle a nice fit. Upgrade time will change soon enough for me. Im young enough to where if i sat as an fo for 5 years i would be ok with that.

PacoPollo- Just currious why you think that? what would be the point of there low mins. for hirring if fourloughing is in the future?

I saw an ad this week in a GA mag for a bridge program through Flight Safety for American Eagle.

The first line said something like:

"The wings of an American Eagle pilot are coveted.."

I laughed so hard I spit coffee on my PFD.

500 and 100 ain't that big of a deal if they're flying propa. I don't know what the speeds are for the saab but I'd guess going from a high performance twin piston to a turbo props being similar to going from a 172 to a twin...little fast but manageable.

500 and 100 to a jet. capts going earn his pay.

But at least when you hit age 60 at eagle, you can come fly Caravans with us until your social security kicks in.
