They are finally putting the engines where they belong on those little buggers. Nice.

I think the 190 looks better than the '70. It would look even better if the engines were shaped like JT-8s (or whatever are on Classic 737s)

They look great with JB colors superimposed on them as well. Sharp looking jet.

I sure hope they gave it good performance.

That thing is amazing. What a change---used to be you got paid 25,000.00 to haul 19 people around and now the new guys will get paid 25,000.00 to haul 90 people around. If embraer bumps the size up over 100 that airplane will give the 737 a run for its money and when you figure the annual crew cost should be around 120-140,000 a year for both pilots and the FA's will be almost free...... I think it will become the domestic airliner of the future

Check your math. I think you lost something in your calculations...

I can post one or two when I get back tomorrow. I was at the trade show and air show all week. The 190 flew.....big deal. The Airbus flew. THAT was impressive.
They didnt let folks on the 190 unless they were industry types. I was sponsored by a company but was very busy throughout the show...so all I saw were the demos. Airbus inked a LOT of deals at that show.

Airbus

The big 340 - the pilot pulled it into a steep climb, then it did an impressive slow flight demo (nothing like the F18E but still..). The 318 did a demo too - the EMB 190 also - those were far from impressive. They just flew around in a figure 8 pattern and landed.
The 74 demo was impressive - to see that thing crank it around at 45-60 deg bank in a climb.
The best were the RAF C130J (when it dove towards the assault zone at 45 deg nose low), the Red Arrows, the Saab Gripen and the Super Hornet (it did umpteen high-aoa demos).
Airbus inked lots of deals last week - Boeing - not so many. I was bummed that Sukhoi didn't fly anything, but they told us it is not their market. You should have seen the looks on the reps faces when I strolled through their display area in the end of Hall 1...in my flight suit. Cold stares. I smiled and said hello. Nothing.
They had an outstanding display of the fighters and some AD systems, but they weren't too enthused about letting me look at them. Oh well....
