If I read your message correctly, would not it be a good idea, to contract your services to be paid up front, a huge percentage of your pay to be disbursed in the first six months, and then have the back end of your service paid at a comparatively low rate of pay? You'd sure avoid a lot of tax if the pay was not linear over a one year contract.

If my brother was an independant contractor, I'd probably have told him the same thing, but he's salaried. But that would be the way to go if you could.
