I have a choice between DTW or MEM for a base, both are junior bases at Xj. I will be commuting from MSP. Just looking for the + and - on both.

Commute

I dont work for XJ but I have don the MSP-MEM thing. The late flight (I think it was 630 PM) from MSP was the nrev special. As far as MEM-MSP dont count on the first flight of the morning as it is always full. Also plan on having passes as the jumpseats fill up quickly! As you know NWA only takes two offline JS (Yes XJ and 9E are considered offline).

I think the schedule from MSP-DTW may be a bit better but i know that there are lots of folks that do that commute. If you need anymore info let me know.

Hi!

It's often hard to get from hub-hub.

If you're going MSP-DTW on NWA and can't go direct, flying through Grand Rapids or Indy works well. Tonight the flights from DTW-MSP are wide open.
