Should I hire an airline professional, may I insist on a demonstration of stall recovery technique? If I do board another airline I hope the pilot is able to spell and moniter airspeed at the same time or at least prioritize tasks in a reasonable manner.

Wow, a new low. You are not worthy to tie their shoes. The disdain some have for the pax is warranted in at least one case.

Europe is socialist..... the free market in America must remain unfettered....

This from one of the biggest ( I can tell auto companies and banks what to do) Obama supporters on this board back in Oct/Nov.

Compare and contrast regional and major pay in Europe to that here in the US. Why the big discrepancy? When will we stop it?

Because there is/has been a larger supply of pilots here in the U.S. than there is in Europe. I also think it is more expensive to obtain one's ratings in Europe than it is in the U.S. so that puts a natural restriction on the supply of pilots available in Europe. "We" will stop it when 3 decades of pilot supply exceeding demand no longer exists. No sooner.

Your high regard for costumers that pay your salary is shared, I find, by many in the airline industry. Makes me thankful that I can own my own plane and determined that even for ten times the cost I will fly myself and my family rather than experience your arrogance.
As you so "eloquently" put it, not EVERYONE should be flying when they take a trip.

The American Public has come to regard their access to cheap tickets and the ability to fly instead of drive as a RIGHT, instead of a PRIVILEGE that comes from being able to AFFORD said ticket, just as you can afford said private plane.

Should EVERYONE be able to have their own private plane, regardless of what it costs? Should FBO's be required to cut their fuel prices by 50, 60, even 70%? Mechanics cut their labor by the same amount? Just so EVERYONE can be a private aircraft owner? NO, you say? Ooohhh, it's for people who can AFFORD it. Just like airline travel, it sounds like...

Your sarcasm is lost on the myriad of professional pilots here who understand the game and know that, eventually, there WILL be a market correction. Whether it comes during our professional careers or not, the current market pricing of tickets to where even the minimum wage earner can afford to fly coast-to-coast instead of taking Greyhound is NOT sustainable, and WILL correct itself.

The question is, will it be an overall economic implosion at the same time, or simply FULL government regulation or FULL government ABANDONMENT of assistance to the airline world, leaving it to TRUE free market economics, regardless of the impact to the flying public...?

Time will tell. In the meantime, good luck to you.

It appears he was just comparing industries and talking about the facts. I don't think it reflects his own personal disregard for passenger concern.

I think we all have a very high regard for costumers. It's the customers that suck.

Now go fly your airplane and don't hurt yourself.

Maybe you'd like to hire a professional pilot?

There are plenty available, and at bargain basement prices I hear.

Love,

YKW

P.S. - I am available to run spell-check for you as well as to help you form coherent sentences. Unfortunately, I don't believe you will be able to afford my services.

Dude, that's beautiful!

Billy Bob and his toothless wife will be on Orbitz and Travelocity next week to find the $198 r/t ticket.

It isn't arrogance. It is knowing that billy bob and his wife will want pre-de regulation first class seats and first class service for thier $198 r/t ticket. That is what gets me.

And we thank you for not flying. You are probably that guy that makes it a point to tell the F/A that you are a pilot and if there are ANY problems up front, you would be glad to help.

Billy bob and his wife are just a generalization of the passengers. Most, not all, pax are great, but you ALWAYS get the crazies and the socially incompetant that shouldn't be out in public anyway, that ruin it for everyone.
